(formerly School Climate and Culture and Homework surveys)
As part of our continual efforts to improve the quality of our school district, we provide HVRSD families an opportunity to give feedback by participating in an annual survey on school climate, security, and homework. This survey was available to staff, parents, and students to gauge the effectiveness of our schools.

Hopewell Valley Regional School District was the first school district in the area to conduct a thorough review of homework and how it is used in our classrooms. A committee comprised of teachers, administrators, parents, and students spent over 18 months discussing and reviewing the efficacy of homework in our school district. Based on the recommendations of this committee, our district implemented a new Homework Regulation in September of 2013. The Regulation (2230 R) is available here: https://www.boarddocs.com/nj/hvrsd/Board.nsf/Public?open&id=policies. As part of the implementation process, we committed to an annual review of the Regulation's implementation.
HVRSD converted the two snow make-up days that were scheduled to take place during spring break into E-Learning days. The goal for these E-Learning Days was for students and staff to use our current technology resources (OnCourse, Chromebooks, online subscriptions) to experience a self-paced educational program. In addition, this pilot allows us to determine if this educational platform aligns with real-world collaboration, future continuing education and university experiences, etc.
